The Objective: When we partnered with Plaka Gyros in Hawthorn, the goal was to elevate a traditional local eatery into a high-authority brand that could compete with Melbourne’s most famous Greek institutions. We aimed to rebuild their brand identity from the ground up, moving beyond "fast food" perceptions to establish them as a premier destination for authentic, iconic Greek street food.
The Strategy Our strategy centered on a total visual overhaul and the creation of "crave-worthy" digital authority. We rebranded their presence using high-resolution videography and photography that focused on the craftsmanship of their signature offerings. By pairing this elevated aesthetic with a high-impact influencer partnership, we focused on making specific menu items—like their gyros and halloumi chips—viral talking points across the Melbourne food scene.
The Results
Viral Sales Conversion: We conceptualised and produced a campaign with a key local influencer that achieved 500,000+ organic views. This digital surge translated into a sustained 120% increase in sales over the following four months, specifically driving record demand for their flagship gyros and halloumi chips.
Established Brand Authority: Through 12 months of consistent brand rebuilding and content creation, Plaka Gyros has transitioned from a local shop to being perceived as one of the most iconic gyros spots in Melbourne. This increased brand authority has secured their position as a market leader, recognized for both quality and authentic Greek culture.
